Large scale SEM micrographs For acquisition of SEM micrographs with several mm side length, lowest distortion and high pixel resolution is yet a challenge. This can be overcome by the combination of a laser interferometer controlled stage with appropriate sample navigation and fast image acquisition software and hardware. Such large scale SEM micrographs can contain a few million pixels per scan direction with nearly no distortion. Large scale images can be further processed by your or Raith image processing software.
